Screen Producers Ireland and National Talent Academy Film & TV are delighted to announce thirty new and emerging producers are selected for EMERGE.
EMERGE is a new Development Programme for Producers. This bespoke initiative is for Producers in the early stages of their career who want to increase their industry knowledge and upskilling, while growing their peer and industry network.
The call for application for this pilot programme received an overwhelming reaction and interest from creatives across Ireland. With an impressive calibre of applications in consideration, the section panel selected the following thirty participants.

The National Talent Academy Film and TV is an initiative of Screen Ireland managed by Ardán.
Meet the Participants:
Aidan White (Donegal) is an Irish producer, screenwriter, and script consultant, Aidan is the co-director of Donegal/Dublin based company Loose Banana Productions. Aidan is also a graduate of the MA Screenwriting course at the National Film School, IADT.
Aideen Doherty (Donegal) is the Film Officer in Donegal County Council. She has managed Features, TV Drama and commercials into Donegal, acting as a fixer to production companies looking to locate there. She is part of the team managing Errigal Studios and is looking forward to seeing it open in Summer 2024.
Alice Moloney (Cork) is an Irish writer, performer and producer. Her work is focused mainly on comedy including stand up and improv.
Anna Kalyna (Wicklow) Anna is Ukrainian professional with 10 years experience in creating TV shows and adapting worldwide formats to national markets. “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” among them. Also made documentaries about Ukrainians who struggled for life as a result of the Russian invasion.
Anna Moloney (Cork) is freelancing as 2nd AC on television and advertising. The Moloney sisters are on a mission to create warm, funny heartfelt stories about being a woman in the 21st century and beyond.
Bettine McMahon (Cavan) is a seasoned Festival Promoter and Creative Director moving into film producing in 2022 working with CLTV Films becoming a Virgin Media Discovers Finalist in 2023.
Caroline Harvey (Donegal) is a filmmaker. She wrote/produced the Oscar qualifying/IFTA nominated short film 'Wednesday's Child' and recently wrapped on her latest film The Crucible which she wrote/directed.
Clíodhna Duggan (Galway) is a researcher and assistant producer with Black Gate Productions in Galway. She has worked on television series such as Éire Eile and Cumasc 2
David Mc Donagh (Galway) Filmmaker and photographer, director of Being Put Back Together which won Best Short Documentary at Galway Film Fleadh 2023.
Elaine Walsh (Dublin) is a human rights and climate activist, development and script editing and producing stories that resonate with the greatest issues of our time is her activism.
Emer Molloy (Dublin) has worked in the TV Drama & Film Industry for over ten years in various departments including Assistant Directors, Costume, Locations & Production.
Emily Power is a Cork based producer who works for the production company Heritage. Emily received the award for Best New Producer in the 2023 Kinsale Sharks.
Gemma O'Shaughnessy (Cork) is a freelance Line Producer working across a variety of film and television drama projects. Most recently she completed the feature film, 'Anniversary' for Fifth Season and Lionsgate and also the TV drama, 'Obituary' for RTÉ and Hulu.
Grainne Carroll (Limerick) co-founded Front Room Films, a female-lead, regional production company in 2023. She previously worked on shows for Amazon, Netflix and Apple TV.
Heather Higgins (Galway) co-founder of Éiru Films Ltd. She has over 20 years of experience as a communications director and managing director. She is the Director of Development for the Academy Galway Film Fleadh, and a communications consultant for the Irish Film and Television Academy. She owns First Bite Catering, a film catering company, and runs her own PR company that specialises in PR services for a range of major film and arts clients in Ireland.
Jack Hickey (Dublin) is the Creative Director of IFTA-nominated TV and film production company Copper Alley. His short film work includes the multi-award winning BURN IT ALL & CYNTHIA, and he currently has two feature film projects in development with Screen Ireland.
James O'Brien Moran (Dublin )is a Producer who runs Black Lobster Productions based in Dublin. From a background in advertising, he has just funded his first television documentary for TG4, going into production in 2024.
Joana M. Rodrigues (Dublin) has worked in media and film over twenty years, with experience in production, distribution, festivals, and with the last seven years’ focus in animation and post-production.
Kelly Campbell (Dublin) is an emerging filmmaker with over twenty years of experience in Film, TV and Theatre. Her multi-award-winning directorial debut, AN ENCOUNTER, Qualified for the 2023 Academy Awards.
Killian Coyle (Dublin) is an Irish Producer and Actor working with a variety of theatre and film makers between Ireland and the UK. His first short, Headspace by Aisling Byrne, which went on to win the Grand Prix Short and European Film Awards Candidate at the Cork International Film Festival 2023, was funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and produced by Run of the Mill & Arcade Film.
Lena Byrne (Dublin) is an experienced Script Producer & Head of Development who delights in bringing scripts to screen. In 2020, Lena co-founded Sow You Entertainment - a place where ideas go to grow!
Linhong (Lynn) Yang (Cork) studied law and arts, worked in PR firms, and hedge fund firms too. Lynn produced multi-award-winning short THE CLOCKMAKERS DREAM in 2015, and worked on The Young Offenders S4 in 2023.
Mary Mc Donagh (Dublin) is a multidisciplinary artist, she works with people with diverse backgrounds including Travellers, LGBTQ+ and those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. She aims to build a sustainable platform for Travellers in the Arts
Melissa Collins (Limerick) is a producer from Limerick, I am driven by my passion for storytelling, the art of filmmaking has always been a passion of hers.
Ola Majekodunmi (Dublin) is a broadcaster, writer, producer and Gaeilgeoir along with being a board member on Dublin International Film Festival and Foras na Gaeilge.
Robert Ross Collender (Cork) Development Executive for Tiger Darling Productions, based in west Cork
Shane Connellan (Dublin) Shane has written and produced a number of award winning shorts. With some features in development, he is ready and looking forward to stepping up his ambitions.
Sophie Pearson (Sligo) Development and Legal Executive at Tri Moon Films in Sligo. She started her career in casting where she worked with Ros and John Hubbard and Des Hamilton working on projects such as Top Boy (Netflix), JoJo Rabbit (Taika Waititi) and The King (David Michod).
Susan O'Loghlin (Dublin) is an actor, a writer and a 2023 graduate from IADT's National Film School; where she received an MA in Screenwriting for Film and Television (1st class Hons). She produced the documentary Kin of Kweens for the RTÉ Player in 2020.
Tadhg Óg Mac Dhonnagáin (Galway) Tadhg is a director and editor from Connemara working with Fíbín media. His most recent film, 'Sean-nós' was shown as part of the 'Generation Fleadh' as part of the Galway Film Fleadh.
