EMERGE – A New & Emerging Producers Development Programme
Screen Producers Ireland and National Talent Academy have developed ‘EMERGE’, a bespoke programme for Producers in the early stages of their career.
This programme is aimed at a diverse network of new and emerging producers who want to increase their industry knowledge and upskilling, while growing their peer and industry network.
Launching in 2023 and continuing into October 2024, EMERGE will take place both in-person and online, with in-person events taking places across Ireland focusing on regional opportunities.
This programme aims to:
- Foster a network of new and emerging producers in the screen sector.
- Reduce the barriers for regional producers, and producers from diverse backgrounds to access the industry.
- Give participants a better understanding of the AV landscape in Ireland.
- Provide participants with the tools to improve their professional skills, business skills, and production skills.
- Support talent to build a sustainable and professional foundation in the early stages of their career.
- Provide talent with a strong understanding in best practice, EDI, sustainability, access, and safe working conditions from early stages of career.
EMERGE is a stepping stone for producers’ development. On completion of the EMERGE programme and with some additional experience, participants would be good candidates for the Screen Ireland Advanced Producers Programme and future NTA Film & TV training and shadowing opportunities.
