Flourish

IndieCork and Cork City Council, in association with National Talent Academy Film & TV, is excited to introduce Flourish, a talent and career development programme aimed to enhance the careers and achievements of filmmakers in Southern regions.

Running from November 2023 to April 2024, Flourish is designed to cultivate a community of filmmakers, and is aimed at filmmakers who have already attained a level of success, with first features completed or in development under their belts, who seek a supportive programme to move to the next step. While working with this cohort intensively, Flourish will also make these opportunities available to the wider filmmaking community.

Flourish features a series of workshops and masterclasses that aim to foster talent development within the broader Southern region filmmaking community, with participation from both Irish and international film experts. With an emphasis on peer-to-peer learning, Flourish facilitates Filmmaker Meet-ups to encourage the exchange of experiences and insights.

 

The first three workshops have been announced for Flourish. The details and dates for the individual masterclasses are as follows: 
Fearless Pitching with David Keating (4th November 2023)
Scriptwriting with Antoine le Bos / Le Groupe Ouest (December 2023)
Film Sales and Communication with Carey Fitzgerald and Pauline Stewart (January 2024)

 

IndieCork Festival invites the broader community of filmmakers in the Cork region to engage with Flourish with the public events, talks and workshops. The aim to grow and develop the entire local filmmaking ecosystem.
