From Pocket to Premiere: Smartphone Filmmaking Course Showcase

The National Talent Academy Film & TV, partnered with FilmOffaly, are excited to be hosting a short film screening as part of the OFFLine Film Festival.

This event will celebrate the work created during our recent Smartphone Filmmaking course that took place in Birr. Filmmakers learned the skills of storytelling, shooting, and editing, creating short films using their very own smartphones. Over the four days of the course, they collaborated and created 8 short films, filming around the town of Birr and the grounds of Birr Castle, under the expert guidance of Póca Productions.

The screening of the finished smartphone films will take place at 1:30pm on Saturday 11th October 2025 at the Birr Theatre and Arts Centre and will include a short informal Q & A with the filmmakers.

Tickets for this event are FREE and will be available through OFFline Film Festival’s Box Office HERE
