FLOURISH presents: Developing A Festival Strategy
The NTA Film & TV in collaboration with IndieCork Festival and Cork City Council Arts Office, are delighted to present the latest in the FLOURISH workshop series; aimed at developing film talent in Cork and Munster.
The next workshop in the Flourish series, is ‘Developing a Festival Strategy'; this will cover how you make your film ‘festival fit’ and how to optimise your chances of success in what is an extremely competitive arena.
The session will take an overview of the festival system and explore how it may be successfully negotiated. There will be a specific focus on how your film can be presented in the most effective way to enhance your prospects of selection. There will be practical advice on optimising your film's FilmFreeway profile and improving your deliverables; all with a view to connecting with audiences.
Tutor Profile:
Leading the workshop will be three individuals with decades of festival experience: Úna Feely, Mick Hannigan and Peter Zemek. In addition to programming for the IndieCork festival, all three are directors of the Green Ray Film Agency, which specialises in formulating and implementing festival strategies. In the past few years, Green Ray films have been selected for hundreds of festivals worldwide and to date have won over 30 major festival awards.

Thursday May 30th 2pm – 4.30pm Cork
How To Apply:
Applicants must apply by completing the quick online registration form, linked HERE
This form will ask you to supply a short professional biography or detailed summary of work to date. This is needed for the tutor to have a better understanding of the profile and skill level of the participants.
The selected filmmakers will receive a confirmation email with the location of the event by May 24h

Selection Process:
Application will be assessed by the NTA and Flourish teams, with thirty filmmakers selected.
