The National Talent Academy for Animation is thrilled to announce the five teams chosen for the inaugural First Credit Short Film Scheme and Short Film Fund.

 

After an intensive selection process, pre-production on all projects commenced in early May and over the course of the next seven months, the chosen teams will produce their short films. The NTAA will offer the participants hands-on industry-led training and mentoring sessions, aimed at nurturing and developing a new wave of emerging and established writers, directors and producers.

 

The First Credit Short Film Scheme projects are:

 

Commuters

A weaving portrait of a city captured through glimpses of the people who call it home.

Written & Directed by Liam Weir, Produced by Jack Kavanagh.

 

Little Caesar

A heartwarming short film about a young lamb's journey towards acceptance and belonging in a world that values appearances over true character.

Written & Directed by Amy Tierney, Produced by Rowena Kelly, Animated by Rachel Kelly Graham, Storyboard by Lauren Kirwan, Music Composed by Greg Keogh.

 

Unanimated Strangers

A young woman takes daily commuters on a journey through her memories of a past relationship.

Brón 

By a riverside, a man battling personal demons finds unexpected companionship in a curious fox.

Spooky

A young child feels disconnected from her parents and drawn into themselves and technology, until an unexpected house guest shakes up their routine.
