That’s a Wrap on Screen Stories 2025
November 28th marked the conclusion of Screen Stories: 2025, the six-month professional development programme for emerging disabled screenwriters, delivered by NTA Film & TV in partnership with Titling the Lens.
This year’s talented participants, Alan Carrigan, Leah Moore and Ronan Nugent, have successfully completed the programme, Screen Stories: Getting Disabled Writers in the Room, developing original feature scripts under the guidance of leading industry mentors.
Throughout the programme, participants took part in workshops covering Premise, Concept and Structure, Character Development and Dialogue, Final Draft training, session with Script Editor Nadie Flynn and self-promotion and marketing with Chris Brennan
Industry talks and masterclasses were delivered by Line Producer Katie Player, ITV Access Coordinator Bethany Matthew, representatives from Screen Ireland.
And mentoring from Ailbhe Keogan, Jennifer Davidson and Moira Buffini
During the six-month journey, the writers developed their original projects:
- Period by Leah Moore
- Then We'll Be Happy by Alan Carrigan
- You'll Get There by Ronan Nugent
The programme culminated in a table read at Bow St., supported by story consultant Lena Byrne, showcasing the participants’ work with professional actors.

Applications for Screen Stories: 2026, open to short film writers, will launch in Spring 2026.
