About: Patricia Kelly
Patricia Kelly is a writer, director, producer and actor living in Dublin and founder of MnáMná Films. Her short films (both narrative and doc) have screened at international and Irish film festivals picking up several nominations and awards. Cost You Nothing was shown on the national broadscaster RTE’s Short Screen 2021. She is currently in post-production on her fifth (doc) and sixth (narrative) short films. She has also had a comedy play broadcast on RTE Radio One in association with the BAI and Sideline Productions.
Patricia is passionate about bringing characters not often seen and voices rarely heard to the screen, often concentrating on films that explore social issues such as homelessness, autism, ageism, domestic abuse and LGBTQ+ rights. She is a member of the Writers Guild of Ireland, Screen Producers Ireland and Women in Film and Television Ireland.
The National Talent Academy Film & TV is an initiative of Screen Ireland, managed by Ardán.
