The National Talent Academy for Animation in collaboration with CMAI (Creative Media Academy of Ireland) is delighted to launch a series of software workshops for the animation industry.

  3. Masterclass in Toon Boom Harmony for Rigged Animation (Intermediate)

  4. Masterclass in Toon Boom Storyboard Pro (Intermediate)

  5. Introduction to Unreal for the Animation sector (Beginner)


 

Course Details

 

1. Masterclass in Photoshop for Animation Designers and Background Artists.

Tutor – Azahara Quesada Téllez – 2 Evenings (Dec 5th & 12th)

Aimed at photoshop users who need some guidance on how to utilise the software in a professional and efficient way. 

 

2. Introduction to ShotGrid for Production

Tutor – Sara Rodrigeuz Coca – 3 Evenings (Dec 6th, 13th & 20th)

An introduction to ShotGrid tracking software. Aimed at people with little or no experience looking to get a good foundation on how to use and navigate the software in a studio environment.

3. Masterclass in Toon Boom Harmony for Rigged Animation

Tutor – Craig Fish – 2 Evenings (Jan 23rd & 30th)

Aimed at new animators looking to get familiar with the rigged animation set-up in Toon Boom Harmony and how to get the best results for your showreel.

*software will be provided

 

4. Masterclass in Toon Boom Storyboard Pro for Storyboard Artists

Tutor – TBC  - 2 Evenings (Dates TBC)

This course provides an overview of a Storyboard Artist’s work in a busy TV animation studio. It will also cover a quick introduction for people who are already familiar with the software but would like to know some of the technical tricks used by professionals dealing with tight deadlines and unexpected retakes from clients.

5.Introduction to Unreal Engine for the Animation sector

Tutor - Stephane Biava – 3 Evenings (Jan 10th, 17th & 24th)

Aimed at animation artists looking to understand the basics of the software and how to get started.

*software will be provided 


 

Dates: December 2023 to February 2024 

Time: Evenings – 6:30 to 8:30 

Location: Virtual attendance via Zoom

Cost: There is no cost to the participants but places are limited 

Places: 12 per workshop
