Due to the high demand on Crew Academy South’s recent ‘Recent changes in determining tax status from the perspective of the production and accounts departments’ webinar in July. NTA Crew Academy West and NTA Film & TV would like to provide a second opportunity to attend this webinar with Tax Consultant and Film Industry Specialist, Elaine Gill.  

This webinar will be beneficial to producers, all production and accounts personnel but registration it is open to all talent, above and below the line. 

Elaine will discuss:  

  • Update on the recent changes in determining tax status of cast and crew.  
  • How to process requests for Schedule D contracts.  
  • How to know when to issue a Loan Out contract and when to issue a Service Contract.  
  • What to expect when dealing with stunt contracts.  
  • What is the role of Scope in relation to these new changes.  
  • How best to deal with queries from crew and cast in relation to tax status. 

Elaine Gill, a Tax Consultant and Film Industry Specialist at Clancy and Associates, draws on her extensive experience gained from previous roles at Mazars Ireland, Anglo-Irish Bank, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. With a diverse skill set encompassing Private Equity, Tax, Management, Financial Reporting, Due Diligence, and more, Elaine contributes valuable insights to the industry. Over her 25-year career, Elaine has served as an advisor to the Irish film industry, specializing in providing tax advice for various productions filming in Ireland. This includes small indigenous documentary productions, co-production feature films, and large-scale returning US television series. As a qualified accountant and chartered tax advisor with a decade of specialist film sector banking experience, Elaine brings a broad range of skills to productions on the ground in Ireland, solidifying her position as a key figure in the industry.

This one-hour presentation followed by a thirty mins Q&A; Q&A will be implemented via the text/ Q&A chat function on Zoom.
