VFX Meetup - Dublin April 2026

Save the date! The National Talent Academy for VFX is hosting our second meetup on the 21st of April.

Whether you are an industry veteran, an artist starting out or just curious about what it all means, join us from 7-9 pm in Hynes, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, D07 E1RD. It's a free event, plus the pizza and chats are on us!

There will be a fireside chat with Nicky Gogan and special guest Graham Gallagher, VFX Supervisor and animation director who has worked on blockbusters such as Guardians Of The Galaxy and Gravity. Graham will talk us through the process from script to screen on major VFX films, how to understand the various VFX departments and why it’s important to develop your creative eye and storytelling - no matter what your role is. Working with directors who don’t speak VFX, how to deal with ‘scope creep’. He will touch on the importance of designing believable characters plus The Future and AI - what is useful and what is noise.

It will be a great opportunity to meet and chat and get to know your peers.

We've now reached capacity for Tuesday's meetup.
