Understanding Imposter Syndrome: An Introductory Webinar

Understanding Imposter Syndrome: An Introductory Webinar

What Is Imposter Syndrome?

Imposter syndrome can affect how we view our abilities, achievements and place within the screen industry. It may influence our confidence, willingness to contribute, job satisfaction, professional relationships, and overall health and well-being.

This lively and engaging introductory webinar will explore what imposter syndrome is, why it is so prevalent, and the different ways it can affect our working and wider lives. Guided reflection throughout the session will help participants gain a deeper understanding of their own experiences and identify some of the situations or triggers that may bring imposter feelings to the surface.

There will also be time to share experiences and ask questions in a safe, compassionate and confidential environment. Participation is entirely invitational, and there will be no pressure to speak or share personal experiences.

Delivered by Clare Dowsett and Sarah Durrant, this webinar provides a basic introduction to understanding imposter syndrome. Subject to interest, applications will subsequently open for a more in-depth four-week/session online course, Overcoming Imposter Syndrome.
