Stop Motion Puppet Making Workshop with Studio 9

The National Talent Academy for Animation is launching an in-person five day Stop Motion Puppet Making Workshop with Studio 9.

Course Overview:

This course focuses on character design specifically for Stop Motion Animation puppets. By the end of this course participants will have learned the necessary skills to build a puppet that is suitable for professional stop motion animation. 

Participants will learn how to: 

• Build a wire armature with a foam sculpted body.

• Make outfits for your puppet by building a pattern over the foam sculpted body.

• Build a head with movable eyes and replacement mouths.

• Make hands, rig points and feet.

Course Details:

Dates: Monday July 29th - Friday August 2nd.

Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Location: Studio 9, N9 North Great Georges St, Dublin 1, D01 P2N9.

Cost: There is no cost to the participants, but places are limited. 

Places: 12.

Deadline: Monday, 8th of July at 2pm.

Requirements:

Candidates must be resident in Ireland.
