Course Profile:

The National Talent Academies and Screen Guilds of Ireland are delighted to be partnering on a Menopause Awareness Programme for the Screen Sector which will include collaborations with  Screen Producers Ireland, Raising Films Ireland, and Women in Film & TV Ireland on sessions on 101 awareness, soft skills for menopause management, cultural conversations, reframing narratives, and effective workplace practices.

The second session in the programme is Soft Skills for Menopause Management.  This comprehensive, interactive, and engaging workshop focuses primarily on equipping individuals going through or nearing menopause with essential soft skills to manage their symptoms and changes, enhancing personal and professional life.

Workshop content:

  • Menopause Explained: An informative session with a healthcare professional detailing the stages, symptoms, and common misconceptions of menopause.
  • Building Resilience and Emotional Management: Workshops on developing resilience to handle emotional and hormonal fluctuations, anxiety and stressors during menopause.
  • Enhancing Communication: How to articulate needs and changes to family, friends, and colleagues with clear communication, ensuring the ability to advocate effectively.
  • Practical Adaptation Strategies: Identifying and implementing practical adjustments in daily routines and work setups that cater to menopausal needs.
  • Personal Menopause Management Plans: Individuals create personalised plans for managing menopause with learned skills.
