Greenlight Screenwriting Lab: Script Editing Workshop with Philip Shelley
Join us for an immersive one-day introductory workshop designed for new Script Editors seeking to enhance their skills and understanding of Script Editing by gaining valuable insight from industry experts.
As part of the 2024 Greenlight Screenwriting Lab, the NTA Film & TV will host a one-day introduction to Script Editing Workshop with Philip Shelley.
This introductory workshop will start with an overview of a Script Editor’s role and its importance in the filmmaking process.
The workshop will look at how this work is executed, including how to analyse and break down screenplays, and what the industry standard format and enveloping practices for reports, feedback, and note taking look like. The workshop will end with a hands-on script reading and script notes exercises.

Friday the 16th of February, approx. 10.00 - 18.00 in Dublin City Centre
Who Can Apply:
This course is designed for new entry Script Editors, who have a demonstrable interest in a career as Script Editor.
Applicants must habitually be a resident in the regions, outside Dublin/Wicklow and/or identify as diverse. Please see the Diversity & Inclusion Policy for more info (Diverse applicants can reside regionally or in Dublin/Wicklow).
The working language of the training will be English; however, we particularly welcome talent/Script Editors who are fluent in Irish and wish to write material in Irish. Due to a shortage of Irish language Script Editors, preference on this course will be given to Gaeilgeoirí where appropriate.

A Personal Statement detailing how this initiative will progress your career and interested in a career as Script Editor. (up to 2 pages or filmed statement of up to 3 minutes)
