Returning for its third year, PRIOSMA Queer Film Festival are excited to expand their festival to a four day event from September 10th-13th in Cork City. Presented by Out of Frame Cork, the festival continues to amplify LGBTQ+ voices through cinema, collaboration, and community engagement - now with even more screenings, talks, and industry events than ever before.
PRIOSMA maintains a strong focus on industry inclusion and development, rooted in the belief that diversity must begin behind the scenes - from crew structures to casting to the earliest stages of scriptwriting. Film, at its core, is political, and PRIOSMA positions itself as a vital platform for queer representation, joy, resistance, and activism.
As part of its 2026 industry programme, National Talent Academy Film & TV are excited to partner once again with PRIOSMA and present a pair of standout events, free and open to the public with registration:
Saturday, September 12 / 12:00 noon / Nano Nagle Place, / FREE
A talk on how to make a film against all odds, alone or with a small team of people, without conventional forms of support. How does community play a role in all this? How do we support each other through the creative process, how do we make sure our voices are heard?
Hosted by Director Elisa Beli Borrelli and Producer Niall Sulcer.
Saturday, September 12th / 14:00 / Nano Nagle Place / Free
This get-together is all about community, visibility, and expanding opportunities for queer creatives across the screen industries. Meet fellow artists, filmmakers, and industry professionals and hear more about the database at this relaxed networking reception.
