Event Profile:

This event run by the National Talent Academies: Film & TV Crew Academy East in collaboration with the Art Directors Guild of Ireland is designed to provide opportunity, insight, inspiration and connections for those looking to access or progress in the Art Department in the screen sector.

Portfolio Clinic

This clinic aimed at Art Department new entrants, trainees and assistants, is an opportunity to have portfolios reviewed and to be advised on one’s progression within the Art Dept.  Portfolios will be reviewed by established Designers and Art Directors in the Irish Screen Sector.

The clinic will feedback on the below:

  1. What skills Designers and Art Directors are looking for
  2.  How best to showcase and develop your existing skills
  3.  Ways in which you can progress within the Art Department

Networking

This will be a great opportunity to get your work under the eyes of those hiring in the Art Depts in the screen sector. Be prepared to share your contact details and ensure you’re registered on Screen Ireland’s Screen Crew and Services Database in advance.

Arrive early/stay later than your feedback session and network with other assistants, trainees and new entrants. This is an opportunity to share your work with your peers in addition to contacts and job tips.

Panel

There will be a panel with participating Designers and  Art Directors where we will learn about their journey in the industry. There will be a Q&A section following this for audience questions.

Presentation

There will be a presentation from one or two of the participating Designers/Art Directors. They will talk and present through their own work and answer questions that come up.

Participant Profile:

This clinic is aimed at Art department new entrants, trainees and assistants looking to access or progress in the Art department and build their network.

Attendees MUST have an art portfolio to be able to participate.

Film & TV Crew Academy East is managed by Clermont Content Creation Hub CLG.
