NTA Film & TV Crew South, in partnership with the NTAA, is commissioning a short e‑learning infographic / motion animation as part of a new series of educational resources for crew training.
This animation will focus on best practices and professional use of walkie‑talkies on set, using existing NTA Crew South training guidance as source material. Clear, effective communication is essential to safe and efficient working environments, and this project aims to support crew, particularly those early in their careers, by reinforcing confident, respectful and consistent walkie use.
The animation should translate written guidance into clear, visual, scenario‑based learning, helping crew to:
-
Understand basic walkie‑talkie functions and etiquette
-
Use the correct channels appropriately
-
Communicate clearly and professionally under pressure
-
Become familiar with common walkie‑talkie lingo used on set
The finished piece should be accessible, engaging and practical, designed to be easily understood across departments and experience levels. It will form part of a wider programme of short educational animations highlighting crew safety, working practices and on‑set professionalism.
