About LIFF

The Louth International Film Festival was established in 2019 by a group of passionate volunteers and filmmakers. Patrons including Hollywood director John Moore, acclaimed cinematographer Seamus McGarvey (ASC, BSC, ISC), and Emmy award-winning director Dearbhla Walsh. The judging panel includes renowned filmmaker Fred Dekker, best known for cult classics such as The Monster Squad (1987) and Night of the Creeps (1986), as well as his work on RoboCop 3 (1993). The festival was founded to support emerging filmmakers and to celebrate creative, challenging, and evocative cinema from around the globe.

Located on the east coast of Ireland, County Louth has a long and rich history of arts, music, culture, and folklore. This festival is a celebration of that heritage, where contemporary visual storytelling is shared through the medium of film.

NTA Crew Academy East is managed by Clermont Screen Hub CLG.

The National Talent Academies are an initiative of Screen Ireland.
