Event Profile:

The National Talent Academies for Crew East and Film & TV, in collaboration with Film Offaly, present a set etiquette workshop and a filmmakers panel discussion followed by a networking session for local screen creatives at the OFFine Film Festival in Birr, Co. Offaly.

The Set Etiquette workshop delivered by professional AD Flavia Pordominsky is designed to give participants the basic knowledge needed to start on a production and be ‘set-ready’. This workshop will enable participants to hit the ground running on their first day on the set of a production and will cover crew roles, essential production paperwork, start forms and timesheets, organisational overview of a production, set lingo, walkie-talkies, and set culture.

The panel offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the forthcoming Irish feature film One Sweet Hour – a “road” movie set on Offaly’s Grand Canal and shot in 2025. This promises to be a unique insight into feature filmmaking in the Midlands. Producers and key crew members will be on hand to talk about their experiences working in Offaly, together with the opportunities presented by filming in the Midlands.

The panel will be followed by coffee, cake and chat as we invite attending crew and screen creatives to mingle in a supportive and social networking session.
