Course Profile:
The National Talent Academies and Screen Guilds of Ireland are delighted to be partnering on a Menopause Awareness Programme for the Screen Sector which will include collaborations with Screen Producers Ireland, Raising Films Ireland, and Women in Film & TV Ireland on sessions on 101 awareness, soft skills for menopause management, cultural conversations, reframing narratives, and effective workplace practices.
The first session in the programme is Menopause 101: Understanding the Basics. It will provide a comprehensive overview of menopause, including the psychological and physiological changes people experience. It aims to demystify menopause and provide fundamental knowledge.

Course content:
- What is Menopause? The timeline and types of menopause
- Facts & Myths - The A to Z of Menopause, an outline of Perimenopause and Menopause, and what to expect.
- What are the Symptoms of Menopause? The common and the lesser-known ones.
- Management options - overview of medical and no medical options.
- What can you do today to prepare or help someone you know. Whether it’s for yourself, your employee, a partner, a mum or a daughter?
- Q & A
