The National Talent Academy for Animation, in association with Cartoon Saloon, is delighted to launch our Introduction to Digital Ink & Paint workshop with Helga Bjarnadóttir.
Applicants do not need any previous professional animation experience or qualification to apply.
Digital Ink & Paint is the process of colouring frame-by-frame character animation. This course is aimed at anyone interested in entering the animation industry and learning what a day in the life of an Ink & Paint Artist is like, including colouring the animation, closing shapes, and tidying linework.
Successful applicants will learn:
What Ink & Paint is and the different methods and styles it can appear in.
How to set up a DIP scene in TVPaint.
Different tools in TVPaint that are used in the DIP process.
How to colour animation in different styles.
Saving and exporting.
Dates: Six evenings in July. (Monday the 14th of July, Tuesday the 15th of July, Thursday the 17th of July, Monday the 21st of July, Tuesday the 22nd of July & Thursday the 24th of July.)
Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Location: Cartoon Saloon Studios, The Maltings, Kilkenny.
Cost: There is no cost to the participants but places are limited.
Places: 13.
Deadline: Tuesday, 1st of July at 1pm.
Have an interest in animation.
Have a good eye for detail.
Be able to use a digital pen/stylus.
Be a resident in Ireland.
Be available to attend each class in person in Kilkenny.
