Course Profile:

This course will run over one day, on Saturday 12th August, 2023 from 09:30-15:00.

This course is run by the National Talent Academies: Crew Academy East and The Film and TV Academy.  In this in-person workshop participants will explore screen industry examples, through emerging trends in AI implementation. They will gain an understanding of how AI technologies can be applied across various functions.

By the end of this course, participants will have a greater awareness of AI opportunities and how they might utilise them in their jobs.

Course Objective:

This 1 Day course is designed to provide screen crew with a high level understanding of the possibilities and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the modern landscape. In today's rapidly evolving world, AI has emerged as a game-changer, reshaping industries, driving innovation, and changing the way industries operate.

This hands-on workshop is designed for BEGINNERS, those with no prior knowledge of AI. The course isn’t overly technical and is delivered at a pace for enjoyable learning. It offers valuable insights to help you leverage a selection of free AI platforms to harness their potential.

Some of the AI platforms explored over the day will be; Chat GPT, Tome, Universal data, Heuristica, Teach anything,  Grammarly, Canva, Copyscape and Lovo.

*Please note, this course is not a deep dive on any one AI platform and there won’t be the time to cover the infinite range of AI technology out there and how it applies to each department within the screen sector. It also won’t tackle the subject of the future of AI in the screen sector. This is still in the prediction phase and is better addressed with a panel of industry and AI experts.
