The National Talent Academy for Animation is delighted to announce a fantastic paid work placement opportunity for an Assistant Background Artist on a short film with training provided.

Job Description:

An Assistant Background Artist will support the lead background artist in creating visual environments. The ideal candidate must be able to work under the mentorship of the Lead Background Artist who will provide you with continuous feedback. You must be able to work as part of a team to ensure that all backgrounds fit into the production and align with the Director’s vision.

Applicants who have a basic understanding of 2D design, lighting, and color theory and are keen to learn more are encouraged to apply.  

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Photoshop.

• The ability to work remotely with access to Photoshop.

• Excellent communication skills, able to take direction as required.

• Team player with the ability to work independently.

Key Details:

This opportunity is ONLY open to applicants 18+ living in the Rep. of Ireland.

Start Date: Monday, Dec 9th.

Contract Length: Two weeks, until Friday, December 20th.
