First Credit Programme - 2D Animation Director

The National Talent Academy for Animation is delighted to announce a paid work placement opportunity for an up-and-coming 2D Animation Director. We are seeking an animator with a passion for expressive, character-focused acting to join the team on a short film.

Job Description:

The 2D Animation Director will support the Director in creating a high standard of animation. The ideal candidate must be able to work under the mentorship of the Director, who will provide you with continuous feedback.  

This is an upskilling role specifically designed for individuals without extensive experience as a 2D Animation Director.

Requirements:

• Capable of conveying nuanced character emotions. 

• Proficiency in TV Paint.

• The ability to work remotely.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to take direction as required, and attention to detail.

• Team player with the ability to work independently.

Key Details:

This opportunity is ONLY open to applicants 18+ living in the Rep. of Ireland.

Start Date: November 10, 2025.

Rate: €550.00 per week.

Contract Length: Five weeks, full-time.

Location: Remote.
