Course Profile: This dynamic one-day course explores the fundamentals of film and TV publicity, showing how creative campaigns can build audience awareness, attract industry attention, and support a film’s journey from festival premiere to release - regardless of budget or scale. Designed for filmmakers, content creators, and emerging publicists, the course covers the key elements of modern screen publicity, including behind-the-scenes content, unit stills, interviews, press materials, and social-first storytelling, while examining how traditional EPKs have evolved into today’s short-form promotional content. Through practical, hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to capture compelling behind-the-scenes footage and filmmaker interviews, gaining experience in setup, lighting, sound, and directing contributors to create authentic promotional material that helps films stand out and connect with audiences.
