Proposed Training: Job Sharing Programme 2026

Programme Profile:
Building on the success of our Job Share programme 2.0, The National Talent Academies, Raising Films Ireland, and Screen Guilds of Ireland are proposing an expanded Job-Sharing Programme for 2026.
This follow-on programme would focus on practical implementation, employer engagement and real-world case studies from Irish film and television productions.
Across three core sessions and a networking clinic, participants would hear directly from employers and crew who have successfully implemented job-sharing on Irish productions. The programme aims to move the conversation from possibility to practice, equipping both employers and freelancers with the tools and confidence to make job-sharing work in the Irish screen industry.
Proposed Programme:
Session 1: Information Session - Job Sharing in Practice.
Session 2: Employers Information Session - How Job Sharing can Work on Your Production.
Session 3: Managers/HODs/Assistants – How to manage (and budget for) a Job Share in your department.
Session 4: Q&A Panel – Hear from crew and productions who have Job Shared.
Optional Add-On Events:
Digital Toolkit Workshop - A practical lab exploring collaboration tools, shared drives, communication systems and structured handover templates designed specifically for production environments.
Returners & Career Sustainability Session - Focused on retaining experienced crew who may otherwise leave the industry due to caring responsibilities, burnout or unsustainable working hours.
