Film & TV Crew Academy West is managed by Atlantic Academy.
This in-person session would aim to give participants an overview of the Locations department and skills needed to work successfully on a Locations team. This course will cover pre-pre-production, scouting, production schedule and negotiations all the way through to striking location.

Liz Kenny
Liz Kenny boasts 25 years of extensive production experience spanning Film, TV, Documentary, and commercials. Her expertise encompasses various genres, including drama, entertainment, and Live OB. Throughout her career, she has excelled in roles such as Location Unit/Production Manager and Producer, contributing to numerous successful productions. Liz has collaborated with renowned production companies and broadcasters worldwide, including RKO, BBC, ITV, Sony, Nickelodeon, Google, MTV, ARTE, RTE, ICON Productions, World 2000, AppleTV, Viacom, Kite Entertainment, Animo, Merman UK. Her impressive credits feature notable dramas like "Braveheart," "Some Mother’s Son," "Innocent S2," and "Bad Sisters," as well as TV entertainment programs such as "Operation Transformation," "Squad Goals," "Supergarden," "Quizone," and "Takeaway Titans.
Colm Nolan
With a career spanning back to 1996, Colm Nolan has made significant contributions to the film industry, particularly in the locations department. Having worked on a diverse range of projects, from Irish films to international blockbusters like "Reign of Fire," "Leap Year," and "Love & Friendship," his expertise in scouting and managing locations has been invaluable. Colm's notable contributions also include involvement in the production of "Penny Dreadful," "The Turning," and "Miss Scarlet and the Duke." Beyond his on-set responsibilities, Colm has taken on a pivotal role in the Locations Guild, focusing on training requirements. As a key member of the team, he is dedicated to nurturing and developing future talent, showcasing a commitment to the growth and evolution of the film industry's next generation of location professionals
