Event date:  Saturday 25th February 2023

Duration:  3 hours

Venue Location: Clermont Screen Hub, Clermont Campus, Rathnew, Co Wicklow

Event Profile:

This Network event will run for 3 hours on Saturday 25th February from 10:00am – 13:00pm

This Network event run by the National Talent Academies: Film & TV Crew Academy East in collaboration with Screen Guilds of Ireland is for aspiring new entrants, return to work crew, and existing crew, who want to gain networking tools, learn networking skills, and build a network.

The Film and TV industry has historically been hard to access, and jobs secured on a ‘who you know’ basis.  As the industry grows in line with the demand for content, and evolves to support transparent career progression, industry access, and equality, inclusivity and diversity, the National Talent Academies seek to provide employability opportunities to compliment the launching of Screen Ireland’s online ‘Screen Crew and Services Database’.

The online database  will include a Crew Database where  crew, from new entrants to experts, can create an online profile where Line Producers, Production Managers and HODs can crew from.  There will also be an Upcoming Productions Section, a job’s board and a crew call facility.

The Network event will start with an icebreaker and network skills session. This will be followed by a presentation info session from Skills Executive Fran Keaveney on Screen Ireland’s newly launched database . The final session will be a structured networking session under the guidance of the event compère Noel Davidson. The event will conclude with light refreshments and an opportunity to informally mingle and build your connections.

Film & TV Crew Academy East is managed by Clermont Screen Hub.
