Crew Academy West | Final Draft

Course Profile:

This course will run over 1 day from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Zoom

At the end of the training session, the participant will have acquired a good knowledge of how Final Draft works and will be able to write or edit an existing script.

 Film & TV Crew Academy West is managed by Atlantic Academy.

 

Course Content:

● How to enter a script from scratch

● How to use the various templates

● How to use the Revision Mode

● How and when to lock a script

● How to create script and production reports

● How to print out a script or generate PDF

● How to quickly amend an existing script and fix typos or layout error

 

Participant Profile:

This course is aimed at Screenwriters, Show Runners, Script Coordinators, Production Coordinators who need to quickly work on a script and understand how Final Draft works.

 

The course is limited to 8 participants

Tutor Profile:

Dewi Griffiths has worked for nearly thirty years in the UK & Worldwide on 150+ award-winning Feature Films, TV Dramas & Documentaries.

 

As Line Producer Dewi managed complex and demanding productions in the UK and abroad. As an Assistant Director, he ran film sets on four continents with Award Winning crews & StarTalent, with crowds of up to 30,000 extras and has Produced prime-time drama for a Top 5 UK Indie, on ITV and Sky.

 

Dewi is a Senior Lecturer in Producing at the Film & TV School Wales. I teach MA and BA Level modules specialising in Producing and Production Management skills. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority and NEBOSH qualified in Health & Safety.

 

Dewi has been providing software training on these programs since 2003, in universities, film schools, and to industry professionals.
