Course Profile:
This course provides the operator with a complete system overview of the LSM-XT series servers, the basics in the operation of the system in a Sport Replay workflow as well as some advanced options.
Course Content:
This course is hands-on practical training and will cover the following topics:
- Presentation and overview of the system Hardware & Software
- Presentation of the different control modes (PGM/PRV mode, Multi PGM mode)
- Basic operation of the system using the remote panel or VGA screen:
- Replay & Slomo
- Clip Management
- Playlist Management
- Description of Network operations
- Description of the Setup menu and parameters involved in the basic operations.
- XFile3 Operational Overview (if system available)
- Introduction to the new LSM-VIA system
- Practical exercises on the different subjects
Participant Profile:
This course will help equip new entrants with knowledge and the essential skills to work on live sports TV productions.
The course is limited to MAX 5 participants.

Dirk De Block:
Dirk embarked on his journey in the broadcasting realm in 1993, starting as a technician with Outside Broadcast, which is now part of NEP Belgium. His passion for the field led him to embrace the freelance world in 1997, where he honed his skills as a Broadcast Engineer, Shader, EVS operator, and Technical Director. Dirk has worked on large events such as Tour The France Champions League & the Conference League.
In 2007, Dirk expanded his expertise into academia, joining Karel de Grote University in Antwerp as a lecturer. There, he imparts his knowledge of multicamera techniques to bachelor students enrolled in the “Multimedia and Creative Technology” program.
Beyond his teaching role, Dirk has also been an operational trainer for EVS systems for over a year, offering his services as a freelance trainer. His dedication to this craft continues to this day, fuelled by his enduring love for the industry.
