The National Talent Academy for VFX is excited to offer 12 participants a place on this 2nd masterclass with Josh Parks, Compositing Pro.
The masterclass runs for 4 weeks with 1-hour online live sessions each Thursday evening, where the student is taken through the week's training topic, followed by weekly check-ins via email.
Course Content:
Week 1: Fundamental CG compositing techniques
Learning outcome: Understand what to look for when matching CG renders to a plate in terms of brightness contrast, and colour. As well as how to use AOV’s to have more control over the look of our CG.
Week 2: Advanced relighting techniques
Learning outcome: Understand how to use utility passes in order to create and change lighting on CG renders in Nuke.
Week 3: Nuke Particles
Learning outcome: Feeling comfortable using Nuke particles to create the most common effects. Rain, snow and ember simulations.As well as how to apply them to our CG compositing shot
Week 4: Lens effects
Learning outcome: Participants will be shown multiple lens effects and how to emulate them in Nuke. As well as how to apply them to our CG compositing shot
Course Objective:
The course takes the student through the whole process of working on a CG compositing VFX shot using Nuke, covering all the fundamental skills needed to work on and create high-end episodic/advertising and film shots that you would be expected to tackle working in the industry.
Participant Profile:
The course is designed for emerging talent familiar with creating images in software, such as Photoshop, Premiere, or After Effects.
