European Writers Club (EWC) in association with Screen Ireland and National Talent Academy Film & TV are proud to announce the 2024 session: Boosting Impact.
Boosting Impact, from Facts to Fiction Because we believe in stories that can make a change.
Boosting Impact will foster collaboration between the world of journalists, scientists, documentarists, etc. and storytellers of scripted TV series, with the objective to create societally significant and engaging stories rooted in actual events.
EWC will select 6 concepts in early development for TV series that are based on or inspired by thoroughly researched true events conducted by journalists, scientists, anthropologists, documentarists, etc. These stories should offer something new or reveal previously unknown aspects of a topic. They should profoundly impact a wide European audience, addressing topics that significantly influence European lives.
Across three immersive camps (in Hamburg/April, Madrid/June and Copenhagen/September 2024) EWC will welcome six established teams of writers, journalists, documentarists and producers from Europe to refine, develop, and boost their concepts in collaboration with our network of consultant writers, broadcasters and sales professionals.
About European Writers Club (EWC):
